Here's a resin kit that I have had for about 28 years long before Polar lights remade it. I'm sure it took hours to make the molds and recast an original kit as that was the only way you could get missing parts back then
. To me this is a part of history and how things have evolved through the years. It looks to be complete to me but I don't have an instruction sheet so you will need to look at the pics. Best of luck on this rare piece of history.

In the 70's Dave Cockrum was hired by Aurora to make some concept drawings for models which would be produced into plastic kits. Dave drew many kits that were then sculpted into patterns. This pattern, The Mutant, was sculpted by Ray Meyers. Unfortunately this is as far as Aurora took The Mutant.
The pattern would have then been used to make injection molds. Then finally to make styrene plastic kits.
The sculpted pattern was either at HMS Associates in Pennsylvania or Aurora West Hempstead?
In 1999 someone got a hold of some Aurora patterns then sold them on eBay.
In 2001 the buyer of The Mutant pattern along with a good mold maker took the pattern and made resin copies part for part except the eyes. They were left in the head. The left foot was also missing so a copy of the right foot was made to replace it. The pattern did not have a base to display the kit. A few of the re-cast Mutant resin kits did have separate eyes re-cast. It was also going to be a snap-together kit if Aurora produced it.
In 2017 someone took 1 of the resin kits and made a mold for it with a base to make styrene plastic k
