This is a vintage 1969 model kit of the Dark Shadows series WEREWOLF. It was mostly (cleanly) built but unpainted, except the tree. It is in overall excellent condition with Glow-In-The-Dark parts, as well as unassembled black head, hands and feet. According to the instructions, you can make a “Midget Werewolf” with these parts!
The base has some areas of putty filler, where the figure was glued down - to smooth over the holes. It will take a little bit of basic modeling skills to put this together. I believe it is complete minus the Bat.
The interesting thing about these original 1969 MPC Dark Shadows Glow kits, is that the plastic Glows in a fainter bluish-purple, as opposed to the brighter yellow-green of the Aurora kits or the reissue. (see pic) Also, the arms are made of soft vinyl. The idea was that they could be more action figure like and poseable if you put in a wire that came with the kit, but that feature never seemed to work. Nice try though! The arms do rotate.
The WEREWOLF model was always very difficult to find, harder than the Barnabas kit.
This particular one come with a laser copy of the original 1969 box lid art. It is the complete box lid. Not shown are the sides, but they are there, just folded back. You could glue this to cardboard or a reproduction box and have a little more authentic. The instruction sheet is also reproduction.
ORIGINAL 1972 AURORA SQUARE BOX GLOW IN THE DARK FRANKENSTEIN
Box is open and all parts and directions are present. Some parts have been painted with what looks like gray primer or paint. The box has wear and tear, mainly on the bottom and sides and the front of the box bows in or can be pushed from the inside to bow out.
