Creepy Classic Old Dark House
Something sinister is lurking within the walls of the ancient house . . .
It's that crazy creep from "The Cat and the Canary," another of Mickey & Mallory's wonderful resin models celebrating an unsung silent classic.
Although largely forgotten, film historians consider the 1927 film influential in creating the "Old Dark House" sub-genre which flourished well into the 1950's.
Released back in 2012, here's M&M's tribute to the all-but-forgotten film - the escaped lunatic known only as "The Cat," terrorizing inhabitants of the old family mansion.
Joe Laudati supplies the exceptional sculpt - a perfectly poised maniac creeping about on a well-designed display base, complete with movie-logo nameplate.
It's a 1/6 scale figure kit, standing approx. 10 ¾” tall x 7 ½” wide x 6 ½” deep when assembled. All five kit components are flawlessly cast in solid gray resin, with clean fitting parts that require zero prep, and assemble in minutes.
Yes, there have been plenty of marvelous monster models produced over the years, but never the crazy Cat - until this one. A seldom seen creepy classic from M&M complete, unbuilt, and waiting to haunt your home.
